What is the purpose of this email service?
Great question! After a decade of working with our business customers, we realized that most prefer to have a “private” business email to use for front-facing public accounts and website use. This prevents their company branded emails from getting inundated with spam. Also, when these businesses are working with a marketing agency, it is important to have a shared email that doesn’t require IP address verification every time you log-in from a different location.
What’s included with my email?
You get your email, along with your secure incoming & outgoing server, port, POP & IMAP instructions. You are allocated a generous amount of monthly bandwidth & space and you get unlimited support. Every email comes with webmail (cloud-based email access using your browser), along with online calendar, address book, task and note features.
What does unlimited support mean?
Unlimited support means you can contact us as needed for support. Our 1 and 10 email packages have unlimited email support, whereas our 25 email packages offer unlimited email and phone support.
What if I need a different quantity of emails than your existing packages?
No problem. Our three core packages were designed with this in mind and already include volume discounts. For instance, if you need 5 emails, you would purchase the 10 email package. If you need 17 emails, you would purchase the 25 email package. If you need more than 25 emails, you can purchase another package, or simply contact us for large volume discounts.
Is my email secure?
Yes, we provide you with secure SSL/TLS access instructions to all customers. If you need unsecure access, just let us know and we can provide that as well.
Do you protect me from SPAM?
We do our best, but sophisticated spammers can be tough to stop. Your RepLocMail account has Apache SpamAssassin built-in. We use an industry standard score of 8.0 to flag emails as SPAM for deletion. Anything else suspected of being SPAM is automatically routed into your SPAM folder. The best protection against SPAM is to avoid using your RepLocMail email on questionable websites and online forms.
How does RepLocMail compare to Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook mail?
RepLocMail offeres secure SSL/ TLS like many of the popular email services. Many websites do not allow generic emails, such as Yahoo or Gmail, but instead require private, branded emails. This is where we come in. While you can certainly use your RepLocMail as your main email account for business, many of our customers prefer to use their company branded email (often through Google Apps) for their day to day email communication needs. We don’t look at other email service providers as competition, as we serve a different purpose that complements theirs.
What’s the difference between POP and IMAP?
IMAP email access coordinates between the server and your mail application. Messages that have been read/deleted/replied to will show up as such, both on the server and in the mail application. POP3 does not coordinate with the server. Messages marked as read/deleted/replied to in the mail application will not show up as such on the server. This means that future mail downloads with POP3 will show all messages as unread.
CUSTOMER FAQ HELP:
Where do I go to check my email?
If you added your email account to your destop or mobile app/ software, then you would simply go there to use your email. If you prefer to use webmail, the go to https://replocmail.com:2096 and login with your email and password (see next question).
Can I access my email through the “cloud” or webmail in my browser?
Yes, you can check the webmail for any account by logging into https://replocmail.com:2096 with your full username (username@replocmail.com) and password for your account. Having said this, we still recommend you use an email software for daily use, such as Outlook on PCs or Mail on Apple products.
How do I add my email to my desktop app or software (Outlook, Mail, etc.)?
To check your mail through a desktop application, you will need to configure the application. Your mail server is most likely mail.replocmail.com, but be sure to check the instructions that were sent to you upon signing-up for specific information. You will need to use the full username (username@replocmail.com) and password when configuring your account from an email client. It is a good idea to check “My Server Requires Authentication” as most mail servers require this option. If you still need assistance, please contact us and we will help.
